Kate is 28 years old, born in Tennessee and raised in Seattle, WA. She graduated from Cornish College of the Arts a few years ago with a degree in Illustration. Before heading back to school for her graduate degree in Graphic Design at RISD, she worked as a freelance web designer to gain some experience. She is currently a third-year grad student.
Her favorite TV shows are Friday Night Lights, It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia, and Madmen. She recently saw Up in the Air in the theaters, only to be disappointed, but loved Fantastic Mr. Fox. Casually, when she has time, her preferred TV channels are E! and the Food Network. Enjoying most of her days listening to Pop and a little bit of Indies, she is currently in the mood for Santa Gold and the National. As far as literature, she's been dying to read The Death of a President; however, that's been her goal for quite some time due to her busy schedule.
Barnes & Noble was her first real job at the age of 14, but this journey ended shortly afterward at the age of 19. She worked all the positions possible at a "terrible pay rate."
Speaking of terrible things, Kate dyed her hair once in high school: blonde for 2 long weeks-that was apparently a mistake. Since the incident, she avoided trying a new 'do, but as per this New Year's resolution, she built up enough courage to grow her hair out. It's now been two weeks.
Her Christmas was spent with her family back in Seattle, but then she returned to Providence for the New Year's holiday with her friends. Adding to her resolutions, she hopes to drink more water and be better at getting to the gym.
Waking up every morning (before even thinking about the gym), she puts on a pot of coffee, excited to use her Dayman mug that she got from her boyfriend. She flips open her laptop screen and goes directly to the Daily Beast, which streamlines current events to her reborn eyes now free of contact lenses...all thanks to LASIK.
